~ Cleanliness standards at The Dolphin Watch and The Bayview Cottage ~
- Enhanced protocols and our Commitment to the Cleaning/Sanitizing Process – We have always demanded the highest levels of cleanliness as it’s our obsession to provide a clean and comfortable “home away from home” for our guests. Since the COVID outbreak, our protocols have been reviewed and refined to include guidance from the CDC, guidance from an Operating Room BSN and the medical hygiene industry at large. We have established a new cleaning/sanitizing regime using the best medical grade cleansers with antibacterial agents to insure complete sanitization for the entire house with complete attention to all touch points.
- Air Purification – The deep cleaning we do in between check-out and check-in will now include a 30-minute 3 stage particle and germ filtration (with 3 filters including HEPA) with the final stage being a UVC irradiation. This process will clean/filter the air to remove dust, germs and viruses. Guests will arrive to our purifiers still running on low speed although their jobs will be completed. Guests can feel free to leave them running on low or shut them off for the duration of your stay.
- We are now providing sanitized blankets and pillow protectors brought in for your stay each week (at no charge) – While we are able to wash in very hot water, we feel that the cleaning of blankets and antimicrobial pillow protectors be left the professional linen suppliers during this time. As such, The Linen Ladies will leave a sealed bag for you at the front door. There will be a pillow protector for each guest to be placed on top of 2 already existing antimicrobial pillow protectors. These pillows are sealed! If you feel that you will need more than one blanket for each bed (and guest), please contact the linen ladies and they will be happy to add to your order or bring an additional blanket from home. All of our blankets and additional pillows have been removed from the house at this time with the exception of throw pillows and lightweight coverlets on the beds. We apologize in advance as we absolutely hate removing items of comfort. Please know that the remaining throw pillows, curtains and furniture fabrics are sprayed with antibacterial agents and the white coverlets on the beds are bleached along with mattress pads for each stay. Our mattresses are encased with allergen/dust/mite proof covers as a matter of course. There are 6 pillows left in the house for guest use currently.
