Atlantic
Terrace has four floors and 3 ocean view terraces. The top three
floors of Atlantic Terrance will accommodate up to 14 guests and the
Garden Apartment can accommodate 6 guests. The house was
constructed in 1891 and designed by Stephen Decatur Button. These
"Seven Sisters" are uniquely situated, facing a communal open space
so that the parlors and porches have an ocean view. The house's
entrance was placed in the center, leading guests into a large foyer
flanked with a hand carved spiral staircase winding up to the third
floor. The first floor features a large, stylish kitchen
and dining room, with stainless steel appliances and granite counter
tops. There is a breakfast bar and a table seating up to twelve
people. The front living room features antique black wicker and sofa
as well as a writing desk, two club chairs, stereo system and
fireplace.
The
second floor contains two bedrooms (one children's room with two
twin beds and one room with double bed sharing a full hallway
bath). There is also a master bedroom with a queen sleigh bed,
private terrace with views of the Atlantic Ocean and a luxurious
bathroom with antique tub and large enclosed glass shower.
The third floor features a family room and terrace
with dramatic floor to ceiling views of the Atlantic. The living
room space includes a granite-topped wet bar and counter space
including icemaker, two mini-refrigerators, microwave, and
dishwasher, sofa, club chairs and game table. Two bedrooms (one with
a double bed and one with a king bed) are located on the floor as
well as full bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and claw-foot tub.
Our Garden Apartment located at ground level, this
English basement includes full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms
(one with a queen bed and one with two single beds) as well as full
bathroom and a private entrance. |
