The Sea House is located two blocks from the beach on the near, eastern edge
of the historic district, where traffic, parking shortage and late night noise
find welcome relief. Around 1900 a Philadelphian railroad magnate built this
huge, shake-shingle house in the style of a New England sea Captain's retreat.
Built to accommodate his guests - frequent gambling and resort visits, the
generous-sized rooms, high ceilings, ample common areas and circular floor
patterns throughout this three story dwelling create the perfect setting for
entertaining a large group comfortably and graciously.
