"The Lighthouse Home"
Welcome to a wonderful home which has ocean and lighthouse views! This lovely home is steps away from the beach and a very short walk to the wonderful birding areas of Cape May Point, one of the top birding destinations in the country. The home is ideal for families, couples, and/or birders.
"The Lighthouse Home" is 1/2 block from beach. Newly painted with fresh nice furniture, the house has an upstairs deck overlooking the ocean and a wonderful deck off the back of the house, perfect for having a nice Barbeque, dinner, wine, or coffee. There is central air conditioning, fans, and heat.
On the first floor, there is a bedroom with queen bed, very convenient for those who may not want to go upstairs. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room and a full modern bathroom on the first floor. There are two separate areas where family members can gather, with one TV in the sunny living room facing the lighthouse and a sitting area in the sunroom off the kitchen in the back of the house. There is also a brand new 2011 Pottery Barn day bed with twin mattress.The sunroom also has a large table perfect for playing games or dinner.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a large counter with pull up chairs, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher. On the second floor are two more bedrooms and two full baths. One of the bathrooms has a washer and dryer as well. One bedroom has a queen sized bed. The master bedroom has a brand new 2011 Laura Ashley king size bed with a Pottery Barn antique looking frame with glass knobs. The master bedroom is very large, with TV, a sitting area with sofa, an antique dressing table, and has the wonderful upstairs deck with ocean views.
There is a large driveway for convenient parking. Only 1 block to the State Park in Cape May Point which provides many activities for families and birders, the house also is close to the nunnery, Lake Lilly, and the park where circle games take place for the children.
New in 2009, we have added a lovely outside cedar deck in the backyard with attractive pergola. We also remodeled the first floor bathroom and added bead board wainscoting. All rooms were also repainted in colorful Cape May colors.
New in 2010: Discounts offered for mid week rentals, between Monday and Friday, when it is very tranquil. Come enjoy Cape May without weekend traffic!
New in 2011: Flat screen TV and upgraded cable
